Word does not accepting all track changes – Microsoft Community.

My track changes function isn’t working consistently – often I can’t see any insertions or deletions, unless I turn on the reviewing panel which shows the changes in the panel but not in the document. In preferences, Insertions is set to Underline and Deletions is set to Strikethrough. And yet, none of the changes show up in the actual document. When I tried to click the button to move to next change, Word stopped responding and I had to force quit. But when I restarted, the changes showed up!

Some users are having problems with version Developers are trying hard to make the Mac and Windows versions have the same or equivalent features. They are making real progress.

However, fixing one thing sometimes breaks others. You can use the User Feedback feature to let them know if they’ve broken something.
